Welcome Peterock! I am new here as well but I have found this to be one of the best forums. I have seen it get roudy as they were saying above but they are always polite. Even when you are doing something stupidly wrong they have a way of telling you nice. You should not have any problems though being a veteran of salt water for 5-6 yrs. I hope I can learn something from you someday when I go to the salt water. Again, welcome and good luck!

Hello and welcome to the madhouse that is FishProfiles.

You'll find we're a friendly bunch, although e on occasions to some knockabout banter. You'll also find a brace of very knowledgeable people here, including one or two individuals whose professional lives revolve around fishes.

The marine section is a fairly lively one. We have quite a few long established marine & reef keepers, along with some relative newcomers who are just discovering just how much fun the marine side of fishkeeping can be.

Among the names to look out for here in the marine section are AcidRain, DarkRealm Overlord, Terranova, Sirbooks and Oleta (if she's still popping in now and again). There are others, but those are the ones that spring to my mind as being solid members of the 'been here, done that' crew. Any other members falling into this category omitted from the above list, blame my memory, which has always been far better at remembering taxonomic names than the names of people.

And now, we want to know what you have in your setup. Pics will be especially appreicated.
