yup, i know, that flat rock should be good for sticking some corals on, ive got these in mind:
xenia elegans (free frags)
Leather coral (again, free frag)
trachyphyllia - not sure if my lights are powerful enough for these
star polyps
Mushrooms, particularly the odd types like these
A hammer coral, thats a definate want.
And also a torch coral..
Whether or not i can keep both of those im not sure, as i know they sting...
Any imput?

Looks like your off to a nice start. I'm in the planning stages of my first saltwater tank and have been following yours as well. Good luck to the both of us!

Your lights should support your wants.

Oftentimes, you can put hammers and torches near each other without harm, though I suggest caution and be able to watch what happens. They will easily kill anything else on that list, so be careful.

Yeah, those don't tend to do real well in captivity for lack of small foods in the aquarium. Hopefully that won't be the case for you though.
