I came across this auction today http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20755&item=4351021429&rd=1
i was wondering if it sounds like something that would be a good deal and/or how much you would be willing to pay for it. i can only afford to buy a used if i bought new there would be no money to stock or maintain it. i wouldnt have to ship it since my parents live about 15 minutes from where the tank is.

Any opinions?

Amanda

Sounds like a good deal, you may want to e-mail the seller and make sure everything works, no leaks etc!! It's a nice tank tho!

Looks like a good tank for a real good price. My only concerns would be the way the filtering system is set up. It looks to me that there is no overflow system, just one intake pipe at the bottom and one output pipe (could be different, but that is what it looks like and is described). The return would not provide the proper water movement for a reef system, if that was your goal. Also, if you were to have a FOWLR, then any problems with with either of the pipes, would require a lot of structure adjusting to get to the problem. Not sure if this would be a factor for you or not. If not, then then this is a tank you should consider.

Make sure the seller will allow the tank to be set up. If he/she has already stated they will in the auction, then I appologize for not reading it closely. If you have to ship it no matter what, I would think long and hard about it.
