I'm looking to get a new fish for my 75 gallon FOWLR tank with 70 lbs of Live Rock. The current tank occupants are a Cinnamon Clownfish and a Coral Beauty Angelfish, both have been living happily in my tank for 4 months. There are a few fish that I like, but don't know much about except there maximum size in captivity. I know I can't keep all of these fish, but here's the list:

Wimplefish aka Poor Man's Moorish Idol, 6"
Dwarf Lionfish(Dendrochirus brachypterus), 4"
Saregeant Major Damselfish(Abudefduf saxatilis), 2"
Bicolor Blenny, 3"
Flame Hawk fish, 2"
Long-nosed Hawk fish, 3"
Royal Gramma, 3"
Cleaner Wrasse(Labroides Dimiatus), 2"
Six-Line Wrasse, 3"
Black Pyramid Butterfly fish(Hemitaurichthys zoster), 4"

I would like to know if any of these fish would be compatible with my Cinnamon Clown and Coral Beauty.

Please post if you know the temperaments, ease of keeping, or any other information on any of the listed fish. Personal experience/stories will help.

Also post, if you know if any of the listed fish need a lot of open swimming space because I don't have a lot since I have L/R.

I'd stay away from the Butterfly fish, Wimplefish(Lots of swimming space, maybe?), damselfish, and defentinally no to the cleaner wrasse.

Out of that list, I like the Long Nose Hawk the most. Very entertaining fish. Of course, if you have an ortemental shrimp they may become a snack.

Okay, I'll stay away from Butterflyfish..I think it's best that I do anyways. I don't plan on keeping any shrimp, but I do plan on keeping dwarf hermit crabs, will they be a snack for the hawkfish too? Keep the posts coming!

Do not get a royal gamma, very agressive. I had one, and boy am I glad my carpet anemone got rid of it for me. It went at everything that I add in the tank. Maybe it was just myne....

Are you sure it was a Royal Gramma? They aren't really aggressive, although they are supposed to be the last fish added to the tank. It could have been a bi-color psudochromis, which looks almost identical minus a mark around the eyes, and is know to be far more aggressive.

Please keep on posting. If I don't make a decision on which fish to get this Saturday, I can't get them for two weeks.

Patience Greg, patience.

The last thing you want to do is make a hasty addition to your tank. Waiting two weeks won't hurt anything.

Mikey, I know, I wasn't planning on adding anything to my tank before consulting people, that's why I'm posting on this site. I'd like to buy fish on Saturday because that is the only day I can do it as the fish store is 40 minutes away from where I live. My parents will only take me on Saturday because the traffic is bad on weekdays. I know that waiting another two weeks won't hurt, but I'd like to get a new fish, as I haven't bought one in 3 months. Please, don't take offense in this, as it wasn't intended to.

Why wouldn't you put a cleaner wrasse in that tank? Because of a difficult with that fish or because of the other fish? (setting up my first marine tank)

From your list I would go for the Bicolor Blenny, my lfs does not stock them but they look great on the photo's, and it helps cleaning the tank to.

Of course you're aware that cleaner wrasses are obligatory parasite-eaters, right? Well, the problem is, in our clean aquarium environment, there are almost no parasites for them to eat. They are very hard to train onto other types of foods, so most of the time these fish starve to death.

Wouldn't keep a cleaner wrasse in any tank for the exact reasons Shinigami mentioned.

Thanks, when I did a search I got mixed results with some sites saying a very easy fish to keep and some saying they all die in a month. *places cleaner wrasse in the do not buy list*
