rabbit![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 580 Kudos: 461 Votes: 7 Registered: 24-Oct-2003 ![]() ![]() | Hey as most know, a while back my female clown decided to jump anyways, i went out today and bought a smalled clown to go with my one (almost 2 inches long) he is about 1.5 inches long and as soon as i let it out the larger one tried to destroy it it grabbed its tail and draged it back wards, needless to say i know have it in a 3g quaratine tank with an AC mini and a 100 watt heater, anyways would it survive its ordeal? or is going to die? rabbit. |

However, if your female is severely opposed to having company in her tank after making attempts to acclimate the newer fish, you may want to consider returning your new purchase to avoid any further damage.. Put the dominant clown in there and acclimate the new one and let him establish in the tank first. I've done this w/ my clown tang b/c he would not leave my new angel alone. I left him in for two days moved some of the landscaping around a little bit and he was just more glad to be out than anything. I wouldn't leave him in for more than 3 days tho. It's just an opinion that's the approach I take when a current resident doesn't like the new guy. |
