Gregs Got Fish 129![]() Big Fish Posts: 355 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Oct-2003 ![]() ![]() | Hi everyone, I plan on getting new fish today for my 70 gallon FOWLR tank with a Coral Beauty Angelfish and Cinnamon Clownfish. Both of these fish have lived peacefully in my tank for about 2-2 1/2 months. There's a few fish that I'm interested in, that I don't know much about. The fish are: Flame Hawkfish, Long-nose Hawkfish, Fridmani Pseudochromis, Yellow Watchman Goby,Royal Gramma,Chalk Bass, and Sailfin/Algae Blenny. I know I can't keep all of these fish, so I have some questions about them. Feel free to answer the ones you feel you can. Will any of the fish I've listed NOT be compatible with my Coral Beauty Angelfish and Cinnamon Clownfish? I know that Hawkfish eat shrimp, but will the eat Dwarf Hermit Crabs, which I plan to keep? Are Algae Blennies or Yellow Watchman Gobies easier to feed? How do you feed Algae Blennies and Watchman Gobies since they are limited to the bottom of the tank? Thank you!!! |

If you want to get a middle swimmer. I had a black saddleback clown and he literally destroyed my royal gramma before I could fish him out. He didn't like anyone but him and the coral beauty (they were the first 2 in the tank) swimming in the middle of the tank. Also I had a Arc Eye Hawkfish at one time and he never touched my verts. But I've heard mixed opinions w/ them. Everything is a 50/50 chance I suppose. The bottom dwellars would work very nice. A bi-color blenny would be a great addition also. My watchman goby eats anything before it hits the bottom of the tank. It is possibly they will be hesitant to come too far out of their burrow if the clown is a bully. It's really not necessary for me, but I often shoot some food with a turkey baster directly at my Gobies. |
