Its werid but ive always had a hard time keeping my nitrates down on my Reef tank. Then i upgraded my light and all of a sudden about a month after upgrading i have found that my nitrates have droped to zero. Would this be because of changing my light or What?

I think i figured out what it was. I always had a glass top on the tank and when i got my new light i took it off. and i didnt even think about it. but i bet i had a C02 problem with the glass cover now the gasses can get out.
