I have been using "Reef Pure" marine KH/PH buffer for the past few weeks. Last night I used added it to my top off water, which the instructions said was okay to do. This morning I woke up and found my clownfish had died. I checked the P.H. level and it was still the same as the night before. Could there be an explanation for this? Could it have been the buffer I used? I was hoping someone could share the same experiances.

Never had that problem before.

Its hard to say what happened, sorry I couldnt help you.

I havent ever heard of that kind of buffer though. I use to use B-Ionic which is a good buffer/calcium suppliment. I am using Oceans Blend now, because it adds more trace elements, is cheaper, and works better.

Sounds like a coincidence. I use B-ionic as well, it's easy for me.

You can buy the B-ionic by the Gallon it's fairly inexpensive that way.

It wouldnt go bad at all. The amount you use is based on how much calcium your tank uses, and how well your water holds its buffer.
