It's possible this is a very, very stupid question (if so, sorry). It sounds rather impossible to me but someone of WetWebMedia said Picasso Triggers could be housed safely with Snowflake Morays. My question is: could you substiture the Snowflake for a Gray (Gymno. griseus, I think)? IE one large tank with a Gray and a Picasso, presumably with lots of hiding spots for the former.

Also, while I have you saltwater people at my mercy - live rock doesn't require light, right? So could one keep a traditional FO tank up top but tons of live rock in the sump with the same filtration effects but none of the look? Is that done, or am I missing some important point?

Thanks!

Live Rock doesn't TRULY require light, however coralline algae that may be living on it might appreciate it. Of course, the coralline algae is not extremely important to the filtration. In fact, my FOWLR tank has normal flourescent lights on it.

You DO realize the Picasso Tang isn't a real fish, right? You must mean a Picasso Trigger.

I suppose it could work out. Watch out for the curious Trigger to make sure it doesn't bite the tail of the moray or something bad like that.:%)

Aaah! I can't believe I did that! Sorry, clearly didn't wake up fully before posting. Yes, I meant the Trigger. Hope I didn't make any other embarrassing mistakes today - at least my clothes appear to be fully on and right-side-out. Why is there no blushing smiley, I ask you?

That biting was more or less my worry. If you think it's a possibility, probably best not to chance it - the Trigger would make a gorgeous pet fish on its own anyway. Whenever it is in the far future that I get to keep one.

Actually, now I think of it, I do know why I mistyped - Dory is staring at me from a Finding Nemo cereal box. Picasso Trigger + Hippo Tang = Picasso Tang. But, have now changed original typos to minimize embarrassment.
