Purple Queen Anthias Survival | |
sirbooks Moderator Sociopath Posts: 3875 Kudos: 5164 Votes: 932 Registered: 26-Jul-2004 | I found this interesting... http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=695884 It looks like there are at least a couple of people who are having luck keeping this species. Feeding small planktonic foods such as Cyclopeeze and baby brine shrimp seems to be the trick. What's interesting is that they never seem to accept adult live brine, at least not at first. Just thought I'd pass this along. |

They aren't as hard to keep as many people say, I dont know what the big deal about them is personally. As long as you get an eating batch they're usually fine, the whole trouble with most anthias in general if it's unrelated to depth and light changes is initially getting them to feed. You can feed anybody with Cyclopeeze and BBS, I'm yet to meet a marine critter that wont. That's how I get the baby seahorses to eat. -Formerly known as the Ferretfish |
