I have had many pairs and maybe it was just me...but it was a hit or miss experience.

See the problem is a pair would be alot of money but at least it is a guarantee that they will get along.

I dont have the means for seperating fish like i do at home.(in college now)

what are the chances that buying a small true percula and a small falase percula will work.

I dont want breeding...but i want fish that get along.

Not very well. If you want to try a pair, you should get two of the same species.

Clown pairs will "tussle" a little. That's normal. The female continually exerts her dominance over the male. It may look like they are fighting, but they aren't.

ok yea im going to end up getting two under 1 inch clownies. false percs again, probably the easiest for a dorm room.

Congrats. Percs are nice fish. You should be able to have them for a long time. How have they settled in for you?
