Apparently the bicolor has taken a dislike to the cardinals nipping their fins. I'd rather not return any as I like them all, but instead could I add a dither/distractor fish (like chromis) or did I screw up the tank? |

With only a 20 gal tank its hard to suggest buying more fish. If anything I would move the live rock around to create a new environment for the fish. This would create new territories. I've never heard of PJ cardinals being aggressive. Typically, the bicolor is the agressor. If you create a new aquascape is may help, thats pretty much it in my opinion. |
