The water will flow down from the main, go into the tank, through sets up baffles (to reduce bubbles). These are used to hold extra water(for better stablilty) and to hide equipemnt(heaters, skimmers, ect.) Sump wont collect detrus unless you do a wet/dry if you add a refuge you get nutrient export/water volume. the best filter for saltwater is live rock past this look for water volume and water turnover IMO....BUT NOT TOO MUCH AIMING FOR 20X IS A BIT EXCESSIVE |
