Nah, thats what the sand with bacteria on it is for......too bad they put the sand in then put in FW on top of it so all the bacteria died

#2 Add the aquarium gravel, which has active bacteria that breaks down waste. Simply pour the gravel into the tank and smooth it out.

#5 When the tank is full, add de-chlorinating salt mix. Warning: DON'T use household salt. It will KILL fish.
