well, I did it...

I set up my ten gallon salt. last time I checked, salinity was at 1.019, and I added some salt. I think that by tomorrow, I should have a salanity of over 1.023. Anyway, this is fine as the 10 gallon is full to the brim, so.... IF i can add LR, i will have to take water out, and I can adjust the salanity.

So, is it too early to add about 10 pounds of live rock? Also, what about fish? If my store has any percula clowns, I'll get a pair, but is it too early?

Anything else i should know?

Opps, I forgot, how long can LR stay in a bag with water in it? If I got to my store tomorrow, I wont be able to take the rock home immediately. Actually, it'll be a few hours.

I already have 3 powerheads in there. Except for 1, I actually might keep them where they are. Anyway, the only thing I need to add electrical wise is a heater, which I have and can put in the tank by the time I leave for the store.

You will need to get the temp up on the tank before you add the live rock. Temp will change the salinity....make sure the salinity and temp is stable before you add the live rock.

As for the rock, you would be fine with it in the bag for a couple hours. You might get some die off, but it will just cycle the tank for you....I wouldnt even put it in a bag with water. Id just stick in in a styro box that your fish shipments come in and lay some SW soaked newspaper over and around it.
