Does anyone use ozone in their systems? if so can you tell me the amount of time that ozone should be realised per day for a fixed volume of water?

Thanks

Check up on that page for more details on ozone.
It depends on the volume of water, your filtration and the bio-load on the tank. I personally run my ozone 24x7 however I have it hooked up to a redox controller so it doesn't overdose and send the redox too high... however, I try to adjust the ozone output manually until the controller set it on nearly all the time to avoid stop/starts, I personally believe it's better to keep things running at a constant rate than turn things on and off in marine tanks... wouldn't it be nice to have a heater that turned itself down as it got towards the correct temp, so it could keep the temp more accurate, and keep the temp from swinging as it turns on/off as with thermostats.... same sort of idea.
Just my 2 pence. Read that page and the ozone faqs linked at the top!
Tom.
