![]() | What Size Overflow Box? |
fishkid99![]() ![]() Enthusiast Posts: 252 Kudos: 218 Votes: 39 Registered: 07-Dec-2005 ![]() ![]() | i have a 500 gph mag drive pump in my wet/dry filter, its too fast for my overflow box. soooo i need a faster overflow box. what size should i get? there is an overflow box i like on the net (www.marinedepot.com) its a 600 gph 0ver flow box. would that be too fast for the mag drive? or should i try to find an over flow box that is 500 gph (same as the pump) thanks >>>----> ![]() pnh |

If you want to keep your current overflow box, then you can run an extra loop into the sump, so not all the water will be going to the display. so from the pump you will have a split. One end of the split will go to the display, one will go back to the sump. You should get gate or ball valves for both so you can tweak the water flow.
