ive decided not to do a sohal as they are too agressive from all accounts for my aquarium. so i was wondering i f i could do a french angel

Is this possible
180g
1 french angel
2 clown fish
2 dwarf angels

beware though it might dominate your tank as well...book description "will often aggressively dominate their aquarium domain"

Marine Fishes is an excellent book, but they are sometimes off on their behavior descriptions...from my experience French angels are only aggressive to other large angels. Even then they are pretty docile compared to other angelfish.

I vote yes as well. IME French Angels really dont attempt to dominate that much. One of my regular customers at work has one in a tank with many other commmon marines, and they all seem to do okay. And keep in mind...this guy is kind of ignorant and the tank is way too small.

Before you buy I'd really pay close attention to the fish though. Make sure he eats and watch for signs of aggression, especially as he matures.

If it was my tank, I personally wouldn't choose it as they aren't one of my favorites, but I think you could pull it off.
