Not only is it small, but one of the easier lions to wean onto dead foods. However, I have been told that lions are not for new tanks as they do not respond well to nitrogen wastes and can stop eating because of them. On the other hand, lions are also some of the hardiest fish out there after damsels. I wouldn't cycle a tank with them, but that's just my opinion. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Most LFS have them fed on mysis shrimp and some ghost shrimp. Mine eats a lot of mysis but once in a while he'll eat slow dropping minced clams. Those seem to fill him up real fast. he's a great fish and really colorful. He'll find a place to perch in your tank most of the day until the lights go out or he'll swim around when he's hungry. |
