To add fw to a sw tank(i guess from evap)is just like a fw tank. You need marine salt alot of people use instant ocean though Kent and Coralife are other major brands. It should say how much is needed on the bag. The instant ocean you need roughly 1.5 lbs per 5 gallon. Then you let it sit a few days with some powerheads and if it is low add some more salt if it is high add more fw.

You'll need to use a hydrometer to measure the level of salt in freshly mixed water. I usually mix it for at least a day with a powerhead and a heater in the bucket. Then I check the salinity, if its where I want it then I add it to the tank. If it's low or high I adjust according.

So many cups per gallon should make the water a certain salinity(It will say on the bucket of salt), of course you still need to check the salinity.
