Most shrooms do well under moderate light and also iodine supplements have been thought to help improve growth. Otherwise these are one of the most hardy "corals" you can get and will tend to live in most situations and will grow and multiply in good water/light conditions.

It depends what type it is. Names or pics would help out.

Coral glue works for some things, Holdfast, a type of putty works well with other things. I've been told that you acn sew a soft coral or mshroom to a rock until it attaches itself. Leaving the coral in a cup with some gravel in it until it attaches works. Simply placing the coral on the rock can work too. It all depends on the type.
