a nano tank is basically any tank under 30 gallons.

Yes a 29g will make a nice tank.

haha, that's the biggest nano tank you can have. One more gallon and you'd have an actual saltwater tank.

Sure you could go FOWLR. Maybe 2 clown fish and a neon (or possibly firefin)goby? I'm no stocking expert, but that might be just enough.

If you really wanted, you *could* get away with two of the SMALLER clowns, and one small goby or dartfish or what not.

If you've never done any saltwater before, I suggest doing a bit of research first. Not the easiest thing to "dive" into persay. A pound of live rock per gallon and a nice small skimmer will maybe 2"-3" of sand would probably do you well.

Are you planning on staying fowlr or upgrading to reef?

I will not be upgrading to a reef tank. I think I will go with five pounds of live rock and maybe one of those bleached coral. I was thinking of getting a tamato clown pair or a percula clown pair, a firefish, and maybe sone green reef chromis. Is this overstocked or will it be okay. I would appreciate any stocking suggestions in my 29 gallon tank.

That would be pushing it. Besides, how many do you mean by "some"? I'd only suggest 3 small fish. 2 clowns and 1 small goby, or MAYBE 1 clown, 1 goby, and 1 chromis.

Chromis like to be kept in groups, and you don't really have the space for a clownfish pair and a small group of chromis and a goby. I'd leave them out.

Also, with the clowns, tomatoes would not be a good choice. They're one of the larger clownfish species, and can reach five inches. If you want a clownfish pair, you're going to have to stick with one of the smaller species, such as A. percula or A. ocellaris.

Def. stay away from the Tomato Clowns in a tank that small. Perculas would be fine though.
