hey everyone !
Im thinking about getting another tank so im just looking at my options just now. When i get this tank im now sure if im going to stock it with SPS or softies yet but ill get to that soon.

What im wondering is can i get a tang in here or not? if i can i was thinking either regal tang, PB tang , achiles tang or purple tang. so what do you guys think about this?

I would be changing over from my 55 gallon just now so the water and live rock are all at least 5 months mature! My lighting would be 150watt MH and x2 55watt PC's this would bring me to 260watts of light which should be okey or SPS and softeis.

What fish would you put in this and was how much of a clean up crew am i looking at??

Cheers for the help.

A tang should be ok in there, either a Regal, purple or yellow (at least that's what LiveAquaria saids and also the books that I have) . Powder blue and Achilles will be a bit too big for such tank size.

If you intend to keep small number of fish and bigger fish only, Volitan Lion is what I say interesting to keep. Doesn't bother other fish and reef safe...just don't include shrimps in your cleaning crew....

LiveAquaria says a purple would need a minium of a 100 gallon tank.

36" is a bit on the short side anyways.

mimic grows to 8 inch, requires 70 gal minimum, it's within your tank volume

Tank volume is NOT the only thing that you need to take into consideration. You MUST take into consideration the actual measurements of the tank. A 36 inch tank is in no way big enough to house a tang in.

Liveaquaria is also not the best place to find information about livestock.
