The only actual power heads I use are not in my main display, they're in rubbermaid tubs for mixing purposes mostly. I like Maxi Jets, they come pretty highly recommended. In my main display, I use an Oceans Motions system called the Super Squirt. All the pipes come from the top, and you dont see anything but current in the main display. It works great. LMK if you want me to hook you up with some links and pictures. There's so many other wavemakers, powerheads, surge devices, etc. that it might take a little while before you find the one that is right for you and your set up. For example, one of my friends has a corner tank, and LOVES his seaswirl unit b/c of the way it rotates w/ his tank. You could always just go the Calfo manifold way. See the book of Coral Propagation for that one. -Formerly known as the Ferretfish |

The flow just isnt there, even with the biggest MJ. I prefer hagen aquaclear powerheads, and if I was going to use powerheads in my tank they would be the ones I would use. They come in a lot of different sizes, and they also have adjustable flow on them. I used mine for over 2 years and didnt have a problem with them at all......not bad considering I never cleaned them. |

You can get more flow, have more adjustment with it, and not have bulky powerheads in your tank that you have to stare at. |
