Hi all!
Had my new redox controller hooked up to my ozoneiser (connected to the skimmer) for about a week, and have slowly increased the redox over the week from around 190 to 360. Today, after doing my first weekly 5% water change since the redox controller, almost straight away the redox started to fall, and over an hour it went from 365 to 266. I always pump the water in fairly slowly into the sump, and same ph/temp and about 1.020 sg to offset the slight evaporation (1.0245 in the tank water).
Is this normal? I did mix the salt with a powerful powerhead for about 3-4 hours and heat it to the same temp (used RO/DI water), the only thing I didn't really do is oxygenate the water as much as normal (normally put the air on the powerhead, but didn't this time), could a 5% water change really do all of that? After 4 hours or so the redox hasn't moved at all from 266 even with the ozone on full (25mg/hr - turned up over a few hours again)
Thanks.
Tom

From what I understand from people that I know using a redox monitor, it is normal. Ill try to get some more exact info on why it does it.

Thanks Dark, was a little worrying seeing one of measurements going way off so quickly.
Tom.
