Well, the best thing I can suggest is to read through everything available on this forum first. Check out all the recent posts in this forum as well as Marine Setup, and look through each of the articles in the saltwater sections. Once you look through all of that stuff and get a little bit of base knowledge, it will be easier to help you.

anemones are not something you should start with if you don't know sw yet. or so i've heard anyway.

Basically the bare minimum would be a protein skimmer, heater, an accurate hydrometer or refractometer, and some powerheads or pumps to keep the tank water circulated. A sump would be a very good idea, especially since your tank doesn't have a lot of water volume. I'd spring for that and the abovementioned items at the very least. Don't skimp with your equipment, or you'll be sorry down the road.

So (making assumptions here), you want a pair of small clownfish and "something else"? Just make sure that whatever the "else" is, it will be able to stand fluctuations in water parameters. Again, a twenty gallon tank won't hold a lot of water after you put the rock in.

Don't take this the wrong way Danny, but I think you really need to step back and read a few more books before you start this. It is a VERY intense thing to start up. I am in the process of starting up a FOWLR tank and it is not something you can jsut jump into. If you do you will ahve a lotof problems because you did not take the time to learn what you truly needed to know before startign this. I promise if you read more you will staart to understand what I am talkign abotu and hopefully you will slow down some so you don't have a disaster like most people have when they don't take the time to learn first.
