i have a 10gallon tank and i'm wondering what to stock it with.

1 idea was a samll sw tank with clown fish.
i need to know would this work and what do i need to run it.
fitlers?
power?
rocks etc?

any other advise would be very great full. i do intead to have a larger reef tank one day, it's just to expensive at the moment.

I would suggest:

1 Maxi-Jet 900
1 Ebo Jager 50w Heater
10lbs. of Live Rock
1" Sand Bed

Lighting would depend on what you intened to keep.

MJ900 seems a bit much for that tank.

It would only be a turnover of 23x/hr. The fact is, this pumps will be circulating thewater, as well as providing surface agitation. If its angled diagonally, and the flow is angle towards the sruface, it will be perfect.

Protein skimmer is a must, especially for such a small tank.

It isn't just the turnover rate but where the flow is coming from. I have 1600GPH or so of flow in my 75 Gallon tank but I would not use only a single pump to push that kind of water around. It would be to much for the fish. a single MJ900 would be far to much for any fish in a 10Gallon tank. YOu would basically have the poor thing shoved up against the other side of the tank all the time.

My old 10ga had a MJ-1200 on it. I think the 1200 was a tad bit too much flow, but it didn't seem to bother the ocellaris or the strawberry basslet.
