"Duetto Mini" help? And Whisper in-tank 10i... | |
Nyteflame Fingerling Posts: 38 Kudos: 17 Registered: 22-May-2006 | Hey folks. Phil forgot about me yesterday, and so didnt give me the ten gallon setup untill today. He happened to have an extra filter, so he threw that in with the rest of the stuff too. The only problem is, it doesnt have a manual. It is a Duetto Mini. I think I understand how it works form reading about it on the companies webpage, but they say there is more info in the manual....and dont have the link working to download it. *sigh* My main question is this: The replacement cartrige is sold with the words "2-pack" on it, but it only has two sponges, and the illistration I saw seemed to indicate that it uses two of them. SO, do I use one sponge (and the little carbon thing), of just one? Only one carbon thing will fit, but both sponges fit. (For those who want to know, it is rated for a ten gallon...40 gph) Second, the Wisper 10i came with a manual, and it mentions a foam grid. There isnt one in the filter (just the cartrige, which has been used and I will probably throw out, since the tank wasnt cycleing...just holding water) So waht is this "foam grid" and is it neccesary/bennifical? Thanks! Oh, girlygirl, I think you missed my last question on my other thread. How man are in a "nice littel colony" of shrimp...and if I cant get shrimp, what should I get in stead? |

They work well but are slow and have a slow flow rate. mine was so slow in the ten that there was actually a film on top, so I put the ac mini on it. It's inexpensive, flexible as the media you may put in, and has an adjustable flow. It works very well. |
