The neon tetras might be quite shy unless kept in a larger group (6 or so). With a male and a female guppy your tank might be soon overfilled with baby guppies (they aren't called millions fish for nothing!). I would also consider getting 4 cories of the same species. Not as good as six, but in a ten you don't want to overstock. I would suggest 6 neons, 3 male only guppies, and four cories, with few amano shrimp (added after tank is well established) for something different (and they help with algae!).

with a 20 gallon you have so many more options definitely worth the extra few bucks

IMHO, I wouldn't put Alkyne's stock in a 10 gallon. . . .it's a little on the overstocked side depending on how well you're going to take care of it.

You have to watch neons with fancy guppies, they can nip fins sometimes so be careful and keep an eye on them.

If you still want those 3 fish for a 20 gallon, I would do 6 cories (all same species), 3 male guppies, 6 neons and some amano shrimp. Nice tank. If you like the look of neons and are prepared to do a little extra work, look at getting cardinal tetras instead. They aren't as e to Neon Tetra Disease, are more colourful, live longer and IME tend to be less nippy and inbred than neons. Once you keep them you'll never look at another neon again. Black neons are also more disease resistant than neons, beautiful and a little less picky about their water than cardinals.

Good Luck.
