 | 180g filter help |
lunker101   Fish Addict Posts: 521 Kudos: 284 Votes: 2 Registered: 19-Aug-2003  | First i was going to go with a 90g, then i decided a 125g would be ideal, now i finally settled on a 180g  . I need some help with the setup though. Im not sure exactly what i want to keep, but i know i dont want to skimp out on anything. Im thinking of a canister and a hang-on (or a canister and 2 hang-ons), a UV because with a tank like this, why not. What kind of heater should i go with for a tank of this size? Also, do u think i should also get a diatom filter for it? [span class="edited"][Edited by 2004-07-12 20:12][/span] |

I'd suggest 3+ heaters evenly placed thru the tank. UV will be rather helpful, with that size tank medication will cost alot as well  .Good luck on the rest, and enjoy it  !^_^  |

fish1  Banned Posts: 1727 Kudos: 1910 Votes: 58 Registered: 09-May-2004  | ahh not sure how much ehiem2 put out i will reasearch that real qiuck but an emperor400 put 400gph i would add another one of these 400gph that would be 800gph plus the ehiem which im not sure about that should do it! cause rounding 180 gallons to 200 that would be 4gph plus the ehiem well the eheim has 250 gallon flow rate which would make that a grand total of 1050 gph which well if you do 180 6 _____ 108o making that you would have enough to turn your tank over almost 6 times if you want more add another emperor 280 and that will give you 7  p.s. hows the bichir doing? |
