Hi! Will the following stocking plan work for a 29 gallon moderately planted?

-1 angelfish
-10 flame tetras
-10 harlequin rasboras
-4 bronze cories
-3 ottos

Personally I'd choose either the tetras or rasboras, and maybe up the number of cories to 6.

I agree with Theresa. If you are going to have the angel, I would choose only one schooling fish. That way it won't be too crowded. And up the cories to 6 or 8.

Make sure you add the ottos after you have some algae growth.

Are you going to plant it? 29g tanks are pretty easy to plant, if you get the right lighting. I love mine./:'

Yes I am planning to plant it with easy plants like java fern, anubias, and crypts. Do you think it's overstocked like this though? I would love to keep the two schools...

If you keep the two schools...you will have to reduce the numbers to 6, with the angel.

If you didn't go with the angel you could have 2 schools of 8. You don't want it to look extremely crowded...and that angel will get pretty big.

I think two smaller schools (of 6) would look very disorganized. I think the effect of one big school is more appealing...especially in a smaller tank.

Change the angel to a dwarf or honey gourami, or a betta and then have 2 schools of 8.

Also, up the cories to atleast 6.
