Im setting up a 29 gal. tank and stocking it with some black neons and some harlequin rasbora, does anyone have any ideas how many i should keep of each, and what else i should put in it? thanks <img src='/images/forums/smile.gif' border=0>

The minimum recommended for schooling fish is 6. I'd go with 6 of the neons. At least 8 of the harlequins, even more depending on what else you decide upon for the tank. I've found them to be one of the best schoolers and a large group looks fantastic.

For a community tank most people would then think about a centerpiece fish. Various gouramis would work in a 29g, as well as smaller cichlids. An angel would look nice although I'd verify first to make sure they wouldn't cause problems for the black neons.

And then the bottom...you could choose between cories or loaches, and maybe a BN plec or small group of otos for algae control.

A good suggestion is to wander your lfs, see what's available that interests you, then check into compatability and space (here of course )
