I have a 2.5gal tank and would like some ideas on what would be a good fish (or two) to keep in this tank? This tank is for my husband's office (12x12 in a warehouse not a whole lot of noise in the office itself though). Any ideas?

possibly some SMALL multis of some sort? just have plenty of shells, the tank might be 2 small though, i'm not an expert on africans, new worlds are more my thing, this is just what i've heard from people who have actually had small multies bred in a 2.5

A Lovely & Colourful Betta will do fine in there.

What about a Bumblebee Goby?

I would eventually get a bigger tank for it.

I would say a betta, and only a betta...Your guppies will quickly overcrowd the tank with their fry:%).

Well thanks all for the ideas. I think I will just keep the 2.5gal for any future fries and get him a 5gal or something bigger. Then I can get him a gift certificate for the lfs so he can pick the fish out. (This is a VD gift for him.)

"endlers, guppies, small tetras, or betta. notice i said OR betta "

A 2.5 gallon is inadequate for any fish other than a betta. A 5 gallon is even to small for schooling fish such as tetras. Do the 5 gal and a trio of male guppys. Lots of color
