I'd suggest at least a 4' tank or they look cramped and out of place. You also don't get to see the males truly display their finnage and color like they will racing back and forth along a 4' tank. The rest of the fish aside from possibly the algae eater will fit and should get along with the angel. It depends how many fish you add and the personality of the angel. You don't want to stock the upper level too much and I would suggest sticking with 1 tetra school if you plan on adding the other fish. As for algae eater that's a broad term but petstores often call chinese algae eaters just algae eater. These fish can get 12" and are agressive so stay away from them. Otos or a small plec like bristlenose would work. |

And I was thinking either a chinese algae eater or rubber-lipped pleco. They both get around 5" big. Otos and/or corys were another option. Last edited by fish007 at 04-Oct-2005 21:54 |

I would say start of with a nice school (8) of Cardinals and 4 Otos. Then wait and see how you tank is evolving, how the plants fill it up etc. After some time you will see how much space is still left for additional fish and which one of the ones you mention would look good. Hope this helps, Ingo ![]() |
