What would be a reasonable amount of fish to put in the tank? Any suggestions of what kind of fish to get next? I was thinking about cardinal tetras. |

Are there any other fish that interest you? A school of cardinals would do fine. Also, I would bring up the school of danios to at least 6. Some bottom feeders like cories or a pleco would go great. How about a gourami or cichlid as a centerpiece? I recommend going to your LFS and writing down the names of the fish you like. Then, post the names and we can figure out a good plan for you. |

I personally like Cories. They are social, so keep a group of them together. Most people suggest 6 of the same kind. |

That's a good start. Do you plan to keep the danios in this tank? Personally I'd go with one nice-sized (6-8) school of fish, the danios, cardinals you mentioned would work, harlequin rasboras are said to be good schoolers. Then some sort of centerpiece fish, something alone or a pair, and bottom feeders...a school of cories or loaches which are best kept in groups of at least three. Keep us posted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I am using them to cycle the tank. After the tank is cycled I want to add in tetras, possibly glowlight or cardinals. I will certainy get some bottom feedes such as cories. 3 out of the 5 danios i bought seem to be fine. One of the other two looked very ill and now i can't find it! (probably got sucked up into the filter... I'll be sure to take the filter off and check later tonite). The other danio seems to seems to be a bit of a loner, maybe he's just shy. As for a centerpiece fish, what types would you recommend? |

Cardinals would be a great thing to add, they have beautiful coloring and a nice school of 8 would look great. I'd also go with a school of at least 6 cories, smallish ones. Like Soluble said, the best thing to do is go to your lfs and write down whatever sparks your interest, and go from there. g/l -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |
