Ok I've made my mind up. I'm going to get a fifty-five to sixty gallon tank. Now, what kind of fish are good for that size tank?

Ok I know that I say this everytime for 55g, but have you looked at a 75g. I would say that you need to look at the profiles and see what you want.

My suggestions for a 55 is not to get anything that has an adult size larger than 6". A 55 is only 12" deep front to back and that' doesnt give a 6" fish all that much room to move. Personally I like more activity in my tanks so I go for larger schools of smaller fish, especially active ones like barbs !.
The best thing to do though is write down what fish you like the looks of in your local fish store, then come back here and do some research on them in the profiles sections. Then once you know what will work long term in your tank visit the LFS again . I'ts always better to research before you buy.

2 angelfish
2 bolivian rams
8 diamond tetras
8 cories

Im considering doing this with a taller-than-it-is-wider tank thats about 50-60g, I *think* that might work, dunno about the diamonds though.
