Well, you gotta give us something to start with!

It'd be pretty easy for me to stock that tank...but it depends on what you want! The tank should reflect your interests, not mine.

Do you want a cichlid tank? Community? An aggressive tank? A special theme?

You could easily do a community tank, with a couple schools, may I suggest harlies and gold barbs. A couple centerpiece guys (maybe rams?) and lots of little bottom dwellers, like cories, to finish it off.

I think it's best that you give us something to work with. May I suggest going to your LFS, and writing down the names of the fish that get your attention. Then maybe we could make a stocking list based on what you like, and what's available in your area.

Keep us posted so we can help you out!

EDIT: I swear I can spell. :%)

Was it me, I'd go with:
2-Angelfish or Gold Severums or Firemouths
6-10 Cories
6-10 Tiger Barbs

But that's me. Do what Ferret says and find some fish that interest you and ask about them.

Have fun, Mike

Angels and neons don't always make the best of friends. They preferring making the best of meals actually...

If you get young angels, with older neons, they should be okay. But be warned, if the angel can fit it in it's mouth, it WILL become dinner.

Livebearers...well, not a personal favorite of mine, but they do come in a variety of colors and fin shapes that interest many. But, unless you want to have an overwhelming population of fry on your hands, I would suggest adding a couple fish, like gouramis maybe, that will provide population control in that tank. Guppies, mollies, swords, platty, anything you get is going to multiply, and fast.

If it were me, I'd pick out a centerpiece fish, probably rams or gouramis, add 2 schools of tetras and/or barbs, or something similar, throw in a trio of loaches, and add a nice school of cats, like C. Panda

^^^Recipe for a perfect community tank^^^

You've got a 55, I'd go for a centerpiece that gets a little more size than Rams.

Angels, Firemouths, Severums. You wouldn't want anything as small as neons with any of these though.

They would take care of any fry problems you had if you went with livebearers. Of livebearers I like Swordtails the best but they can be a little nippy but any of the certerpiece fish could handle it with the possible exception of Veil Angels.
