I also can't decide on the substrate or plants. I need some kind of plants, silk or plastic, preferably something from Africa. For fish I will have 5 L. caerulus and 5 P. scolofi. Need help!

Kim Big Fish Posts: 327 Kudos: 436 Registered: 11-Apr-2004	I don't think those fish care much for plants anyway. For my cichlid tank, I just picked one small plant that would add color to my tank(brichardi) placed it in the front at center and placed the rocks around. Kim

nano reefer Fish Addict Posts: 716 Kudos: 570 Votes: 3 Registered: 29-Feb-2004	i was'nt sure on the colour of the rocks either so i went for diferant types and colour like ocean rock(creamey colour) ,sea rock ( dull orange colour) ,texas holey rock (brownish cream) tuffa rock (boosts ph and is like clumps of sand ) so i would just go for a vareus selection of rock.
