RTBS, good idea! They get kinda big, that any your other suggestions sounds good. But how about a red-finned black shark? They get a little bigger, but is a RTBS a better fish? Wich is more fun to watch?

One thing I hate with online forums is that you can be mistaken very easaly as the other people cant here your voice, I was just kidding, but no offence taken.

Woah, no need to be snappy. Anyways, I never knew that RTBSs grew to 9 inches. Never personally raised the fish though, so I can't really vouch for that.

Tops for ant RTS would be 7-8" but you'd have him for YEARS before he hit that length. As far as the cichlid goes, if you're gonna go with the RTS, I wouldn't get a cichlid except one of the most peaceful ones possible. A possible cichlid for that tank would be a Blood Red Parrotfish, but I think with all the other stocking suggestions, you'd have to choose either the Parrotfish or the RTS, not both...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Hey, along with my 2 10 gallons, I am setting up a 90 gallon for a friend. (Yes, it will be maintained perfectly well) It is 48" long, 18 wide, and 24" tall.

The fish they like are clown loaches, tiger barbs, corys, a a bristlie for cleanup, and for the centerpiece fish they want a Leporinus Fasciatus. I know nothing of this fish, exept it gets kind of big. Can this fish be kept in a 90 with clown loaches, tiger barbs, and corys? And how many of each fish? Thanks!

How about this:

school of tiger barbs
RTBS
BN
group of smaller loaches like yo-yos, queens, zebras

You could also check into the search feature here paying particular attention to max size and temperament.

Personally if it was my tank I'd get some sort of larger cichlid

Eh, it depends. They are relatively peaceful, IMO. Frankly, Lepos should do fine singularly, as, in the wild, they aren't schooling fish and tend to be loners. As with most floodforest fishes, they only congregate during the dry seasons, where they are forced into close proximity. Not that he should keep one in a 90 gal, though.

I wouldn't go for the Leporinius because when they get bigger, they can get VERY mean. Also, along with getting pretty big (12" or so), they actually seem to be a shoaling/schooling fish when presented with the ability. Their personalities are nicer when they've got buddies in with them, but a 90 gallon's nowhere near close enough to hold a school of Leporinius...

Meh, 125 is a bit ecessive, IMO. Clowns, don't often grow past 10" in the home aquarium, and a 90 is enough to hold 3 10 inch bottom dwellers. I gues the cories, however, might be a bit excessive. As for the Leporinus, they are nippy and active fish that grow pretty big, and have, on occasion, been said to have eaten smaller tankmates, but this is relatively rare as they feed mostly on vegetation. Tiger barbs and clown loaches would be okay choices, but in this instance, I'd say that a 125 gallon+ would be called for.

I wouldn't get the clowns. They get more than 6 inches in an aquarium, and should be kept in tanks of 125 gallons or larger. They are pretty active fish, and they get big. Besides, with the cories you don't have the bottom room.

Leporinus fasciatus is an aggressive fish. They get a foot long. They are herbivores, but are fin nippers. They will eat smaller fish. I'd seriously rethink having one. There are much cooler fish that would work better.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

Well,I heard that Clown Loaches usually only get 6" in aquaria full sise. Also they are quite slow growing. If I had them too big, I could sell, and get small ones again. However, if you know otherwise, please thell me!

Overloaded bottom, your right. Mabe drop the corys? If Clown loaches actually cant be kept, that would be that. So mabe big tiger barb school, clown loaches, Leporinus Fasciatus (If possible), BN? Any better ideas? Because the barbs and loaches look alike and the tank would need some variety
I just dont know how to stock. It just needs to have a semi big fish. (Or four, six, two, just not all little fish that you have to be close to observe.)

Also, this tank HAS to have HOT filters. No room under tank for canister. I was thinking 3 medium sised filters?

It could probably be kept with those fish. I think you're overloaded on the bottom, though. Schools of cories, clown loaches, and a bn? That's a little too much. I'd think of another schooling fish for the tank, or a larger, solo fish.
