Hi all,

This relates to my other recent thread in this category (http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Getting%20Started/53962.html)

To give some background, I was planning to buy what I thought was a 20 litre, but have since found is a 34 litre tank... Tank is now purchased and set up with the relevant equipment, and has a school of six Harlequin Rasboras to cycle... The tank has also been seeded with a water sample from an established 60 litre aquarium.

I'm wary of overstocking this one, as it has very odd dimensions (It is an AquaOne AR-380)

It is 38cm long, 26cm wide and 46cm deep, giving it a SA to V ratio about 50% worse than my existing 2 foot (the 60 Litre).

I would like to add a few more fish - specifically bottom dwellers to get the uneaten flakes that the Rasboras miss.

Any suggestions as to type and quantity?

geesloper, I've found that most people on this site don't understand litres or cms! Inches and US gallons seem to have become the common units here, so I'll provide a translation (using the calculators on this site).

As you said, your new tank is 34 litres (9 gallons)

It is 38cm long, 26cm wide and 46cm deep, giving it a SA to V ratio about 50% worse than my existing 2 foot

It is 15" long, 10" wide and 18" deep.

In my opinion, with a school of active fish like the raspboras, you're probably fully stocked. Maybe someone else can help you with a suggestion for a small bottom-dweller.

Hehe.. I guess this is what I get for using 21st century scales

HWFF reckoned a school of corys would be Ok - I was thinking Pygmys, maybe.
