I was thinking about "re-starting" my community tank with some new and different fish. Right now i've got some Mollys, Swordtails, Platys...fish like that. But i'd like a little more colorful and not quite the overall same looking fish as what i have.I have a 29 gal. hex. Any suggestions on a new community????

bottom feeders
gouramis
danios
barbs
a scool of tetras.

mix them together.

you'll have kinds of behaviors and interaction, and each have a different approach and a different tempo (and different area in the tank).
you might like to add plants, live or plastic, to make the tank more interesting.

I have red eye, columbian and silver tipped tetra's in with my gouramis and they are fine, as long as there are places to hide they should be fine

Dont get tiger barbs cause they will nip fins. Most tetras are fin3e as long as they are kept in a proper school of 6+.
