I would get at least 4 more C. gomezi, and then a big school of tetras. Any kind really, although since the angels must be large, neons and cardinals might not be a good choice. I recommend rummynose. They school REALLY tightly. You could get about 20 of them.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

A Blood Parrot would keep with your theme

What theme could blood parrots possibly keep with? They aren't natural fish, which makes them not native to SA, and even the fish bred into the strain are mostly CA anyways.

Hatchetfish, pencilfish, and any of the larger bodied tetras would do fine in the tank. Depending on the aggression of you angels, you could keep keyholes for your middwellers as well. If you don't like the fry you might possibly have in the tank, get a dwarf pike. There are many many fish you could keep in there, theres no reason to resort to hybrids who cant even close their mouths.

Your Welcome

I dont really like Blood Parrots either. They do get rather large. I've seen them in tanks with full grown Oscars.

Thanks for the link, but Although i'm not really opposed to hybrids i don't really want one in my tank.

Plus the 10" max size puts me off a bit

Azn_Devil- I was originally planning on having the 55g as a marine tank, unfortunatly i abandoned this idea and I never got round to setting it up. Plus i have to find somewhere to put it! lol

I'm not going to risk introducing 2 more angels for the risk of fighting but i will have a look at your other suggestions.

Thanks

I know that you need mid-level fish, but you must get more Cories for the 55g.

Maybe some type of Tetra's that are big enough to stay with the Angels.

By the way......... welcome back.

A Blood Parrot would keep with your theme and give you some color. Or 2 more angels.
