Ok, I have a 15"*12"*48" tank (37 US gallons)

Just two questions really.

1. Bolivian ram, dwarf gouramis, bronze cories and guppies - Are they alright together?

2. What kind of plants would you recommend for a beginner?

ya they should be fine together. keep in mind bronze cories may breed in that tank after water changes and guppies will breed constently. i think dwarf gourami males will bicker but i dont think they will cause any serious harm. someone correct me if im wrong please.
and dont put to many bolivians in there, 4ft tank i would say no more then 4 (2pair). they arnt super agressive but they do like their space. they will also act more natural if they arnt fighting over a territory line constently.

Edit: forgot about the plants. Anubias,Java fern or moss,Swords. it really depends how much lighting you have. the listed above are easy to grow low light plants. list your watts per gallon and can try to help a little more.

Yes, those fish will do fine together. The guppies will breed and so u may have to find way to get rid of the babies. The goramie will do fine he may chase a fish here and there but should do no real harm. As for plants. Vals, swords, anubias, hornwort, and frill have all done well in my tank which is about a watt a gallon.

Thanks guys, you are so unbelievabubly helpful! As for numbers, I was thinking

6x Bronze Cories
1x Bolivian Ram
2x Dwarf gourami
10x Guppies

The tank:

Just set it up today. Won't get any fish for a few weeks gotta leave it cycle. Glad I'm not a complete newbie.

Fishless cycling is fine, so long as you are testing thru the whole cycle and know you still have to go thru ammonia, nitrIte then both of them dropped to zero with nitrAtes present before adding fish .
