A water change will only prolong the process. What all is in the tank? OK, just read the other thread. Yes do keep an eye on the fish and do a small water change if necessary. When I started a few years back I read and researched and bought a beginner's book (which I strongly recommend) and all that. I had everything planned out, what to add and when to add it. The kids at my local Petsmart were great, they have a knowledgable staff there at my petsmart, just don't ask the manager anything, she's an idiot. I made a list of what I wanted and started with the hardiest thing on the list to cycle with, added morer after that and the rest is history. Had to do all the research, needed to learn what would fit in the tank and what was compatible, etc. Tried the plant thing but couldn't make anything live so went back to plastic . Anyways, welcome to fishkeeping and to F.P. And beware, it is addicting. |
