My 10 Gal. ~ Stocking and pics | |
JIsabelle218 Small Fry Posts: 14 Kudos: 10 Votes: 4 Registered: 24-Dec-2005 | I too would like a little advice on stocking my ten gallon. This is my first tank. All six fish were gifts, a friend was moving cross country, I had a tank cycling for a few days and he gave me his 3 head tail light tetras and 3 mickey mouse platties. This is my fist attempt at landscaping a fish tank. . . http:// ]http:// [/link] (eg. [link=http://www.casadejerry.com/mytank.htm) They've been in for about a month and everyone seems happy but two of the headlight taillights seem really shy. anyone would can offer some advice on stocking or scaping would be appreciated. . . comments are cool too ! :88)[img src='/images/forums/halo.gif' border=0] |

As for the aquascaping...good start, I like that the gravel (as bright as it is ) color is eccoed in the plants and shipwreck. I'd suggest switching the position of the two plants on the left. have the corkscrewval in the corner and the red one closer to the middle that way it'll flow from the top to the middle of the tank in a wide U shape. ^_^ |

I was thinking on one to do a little scavenging along the bottom to clean up a little, even though i do do water changes every other week. The cory would go in, in addition to the three more head tail light tetras. |

I like the red and black. . . as for the plants I'm really interested in switching to real plants but i have yet to start my research or become active in the planted aquarium form sections, but it is just a thought I've been having. But if i do switch to real plants will it serve any gain to my tank. . .as far as the amount of stocking i can do? |
