New 160l tank | |
hokori Small Fry Posts: 6 Kudos: 4 Votes: 3 Registered: 01-Feb-2006 | Hi, I've been thinking about setting up a 160l tank in the future(not the first tank I've ever owned) and I'm considering fish load. I had figured out the following but fear it may be overstocked or not balanced. 10 neon tetra 6 corydoras shwartzii 6 guppy 8 platy 2 lace gourami Basically, I want some lively, preferable non-agressive community fish that are hardy and easy to care for. Any advice, changes, etc? |

You don't have to get all male livebearers, just keep in mind that a M/F ratio of at least 1:2 is preferred, and that gouramis are notorious fry eaters Another variation would be to choose just one species of livebearer, and then add something like a BN plec for algae control. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |
