Hey guys, I just purchased a new tank, its a 20 gallon long. I have it set-up and its been cycled and has all of my existing fish in it ( 3 corys and about 15 guppies-lots of them fry) I was wondering what else would be a good addition for when i decide to add some more. I was thinking about some more cory's beacuse i read that they like to be in groups of six. I also wondered about some tetras, or any other suggestions you guys have!
Thanks
Sam!

My big question is are you interested in keeping the guppy fry?

Filling out the cory school is a great idea. They will definitely be happier and you'll see more activity from them. What type of cories do you have?

You could add a BN plec. One of those 'so-ugly-it's-cute' fish When I first starting keeping fish I said I'd never get one, now I have two and I'm hooked. Very interesting and they do a great job with algae.

A school would be nice. There are lots of interesting tetras available. If you really want to see schooling activity though I recommend harlequin rasboras.

And perhaps a centerpiece fish of some sort...smaller gouramis are nice and would give you some activity at the top of the tank. I keep a pair of honeys in my 20 long. A pair of cherry barbs would also work.

hey there congrats on the new tank.. if it was up to my i would go to my lfs n give them the guppies.. i'm not a reall guppy fan but thats up to u .. get 3 more corys as corys do like to be in a school of 6 or more.. also like wat Theresa said add some harlequin rasboras.. i have these in my 13 gallon and they are amazing fish.. keep in a school of about 6 or 8.. if u want a centerpiece fish such as the gourami go for a opaline gourami.. they are less agressive then other gouramis.. get like 2 or 3 but keep the same gender
hope this helps but what Theresa said pretty much somes it up!!

Hey guys thanks for the responses!!..

I have about 10 guppys that are still small (ish) that were born in my tank, I'm not sure about keepin them yet. My LFS won't take them until they are a little bigger!

The corys i have look like San Juan Cory's but they have a black vertical stripe over their eyes? So I'm not to sure!

If i get the rasboras and a centerpiece fish will my tank be stocked about right?
