Allrighty, heres the story. Ive been out of the aquarium game for around....... 8 months maybe.

My parents set up one of my old 3ft tanks in the living room today while i was out, and it looks great. Its inspired me to clean up my ugly 5ft in my room. But it seems alot of stocking knowledge has gone out the window.

I have a few fish that i was thinking about, the tank is 5'x18"x15" roughly:

x1 Angel fish
x2 Clown loaches
x2 BN

Thas whats in there now.
I was also thinking about

Neons.... and lots of them, main feature of the tank
Tiger barbs
Zebra Danios

And probably some kuhli loaches.

Any other suggestions would be great but im thinking that theyre the fish i want, just really need numbers.

Thanks alot

Matt.

Hmmmm....I've never been one to like neons...even in large schools they're just boring (sorry to the fans out there).

Tiger barbs are only really nippy if they're kept in too small of a school...personally I think they would go best with the clown loaches...and I'm not sure that I'd mix barbs and neons that way.
In anycase since you've got the space I'd pick one or two of your choices and go with larger schools of them rather than 3 different smaller schools.

To my calculations the tank is roughly 70US gallons.
I'll add another Angel.
About 30 Cardinal tetras. you said you want neons as the main feature, well cardinals are better.

so here's my list.
2 Angels
30 cardinals
2 Clown loaches
2 BN's
Then maybe some Rams and/or khuli loaches.

Good luck with the tank.

Looks good PJ.

Im not keen on adding another angel, mainly because this guy is old, has allready had a partner who unfortunatly died.

And i know i might start to sound pig headed but i really do want to fit at least 10 or 15 tiger barbs in.

1 angel fish
25 neons (im to cheap for cardinals)
10 Tigers
2 BN
2 clownies

The one thing I would be concerned with is the neons as they could become lunch for the angel whereas angels don't typically bother the cardinals.

Neons are natural prey for angels. How about harlequin rasboras? They school very nicely
