Fake plants also help filter the water as there is a tremendous amount of space on them for beneficial bacteria to grow. On the other hand live plants eat up nitrates. They also use up carbon dioxide and give oxygen when the lights are on, but at night they use Oxygen 17 years experience with freshwater. |
