It's 4ft long. It's been running for about 4 years, and was once stocked with a CAE, pearl gouramis, white clouds, an angel fish and zebra danios at various points. It currently contains: -A breeding pair of Kribs and two of their nearly mature offspring (one male, one female). - The last danio - The last white cloud It is about to contain 3 female bettas, and I plan to move out the danio and white cloud. Yes, I know they are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6+, but they're not really what I want to keep anymore and I can't trade them in. I am thinking of adding: - the 3 female bettas mentioned above - 2 to 4 bristlenose plecos - Some cherry barbs (depending on availability) or - 4 black and white mollies (depending on availability) I'm not exactly sure of what numbers I could keep, as I will likely only be seeing this tank once a week next year, so I needed something tougher than the white clours and danios. It's been a while since I did stocking like this, so I'm thinking if I can get cherries instead of mollies I could get 8 to 10 if I go down to 2 bristle noses when they get bigger and I can sex them. Have I got the numbers about right of a stable, low maintenance tank? Or can you think of any other species suggestions? <Vet in Training> Blog under development: http://www.nearlydrferox.blogging4life.com/ |

I asked my family what sort of fish they wanted to see in the tank. Dad - Fish that breed Mum - Fish that have sucker mouths (She's the one that bought me the CAE originally) Brother - Red ones. So I think I'll have that sorted. <Vet in Training> Blog under development: http://www.nearlydrferox.blogging4life.com/ |
